Darrin, Principal Math Teacher at KnowledgeTrail

Mr. Darrin Tan

Every child can excel in Maths!

Mr. Darrin Tan founded Knowledge Trail in 2009 and has since been passionately involved in helping a great many students excel in Mathematics — with results ranging from marked improvement to Distinctions.

Darrin graduated from NUS in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and went on to earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (with Credit) from NIE before joining MOE, where he was initially deployed as a Mathematics and English teacher. After completing his Master of Science in Mathematics Education, he taught Mathematics at Yishun Junior College, Dunman High School, Raffles Girls' School and Republic Polytechnic.

Today, Darrin leads the Mathematics programme at Knowledge Trail, teaching across the Primary, Secondary (E-Maths and A-Maths) and IP levels. Drawing on his years in the classroom and a deep understanding of the MOE syllabus, he breaks difficult concepts down into clear, manageable steps — building both the skills and the confidence his students need to succeed.

Faith Soh, Math Teacher at KnowledgeTrail

Ms Faith Soh

Every child is unique!

I believe that every child is unique and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to education. My goal is to help each student reach their full potential by providing personalized instruction tailored to their individual needs. Beyond academic success, I am committed to fostering a learning environment that encourages independence and builds confidence so that students will become self-directed and critical thinkers and learners.

Christopher Chee, Math Teacher at KnowledgeTrail

Mr Christopher Chee

Engaging and Benefitting Every Child!

When it comes to teaching, I believe it is not a “one size fits all” approach. Each student has their own learning style, and pace at which they pick up on topics. It is my responsibility to find out what each student responds to the best and ensure that his/her time at Knowledge Trail is both engaging and beneficial.

What I hope to instil into my students is a positive attitude towards learning, not just limited to topics taught in school, but as lifelong learning, and that this attitude will follow them in whichever endeavour they may choose to pursue later in life.
