“Thank you Mr Tan for your patience & guidance. Under your tutorship, Yasmynn has gained a better understanding of the subject. You simplified the complicated Mathematical concepts, made it easy to digest while at the same time challenging. An added bonus is the A* she got in her recent Sec 2 year end exam & being selected to represent her school in the upcoming Math Olympiad.”

  • Annika

Mr Tan is very encouraging and cares for every student which motivated me to continue practicing even if the papers were difficult. The tutoring is more individually tailored rather than other group classes in other centres.

I felt like giving up on A Math before joining KTLC and honestly would’ve considered dropping the subject if I didn’t pass my EOYs. But just in under 3 months I went from an F9 to an A1 and that motivated me to continue the subject. Now, A Math is one of my distinctions in my O Levels results which allows me to take many subjects that require A Math as a prerequisite in JC.

  • Jolyn Leow

After joining Knowledge Trail, I have become better at understanding and answering questions that I used to have difficulties with. This is because I am now more equipped with the important skills. I have also gained more inspiration in doing my composition after attending KTLC’s English Classes. My English grades have improved from B4 to A2 after attending the lessons.

  • Rebecca Chay

Rebecca started with Knowledge Trail after P5.  Her English's grade was borderline and her confidence was low. After about 3 months with Charissa, I can see that her grades, interest, and confidence in English grew. Her English has improved from 'C' to 'A' in PSLE.

Thank you Knowledge Trail for not just helping her improve her grades, but also increased her interest and confidence in the subjects.

At the beginning of the year, my Math grade was really bad and it was getting worse. Then my parents brought me to KTLC and my grades started to improve bit by bit. The teachers were very friendly and encouraged me when I felt like my grades were not improving.

Teacher Darrin gave me moral support when I was discouraged by my results and helped me even though he was busy. With his help, I managed to score an A1 in Math in my final year exam.

KTLC has really helped me a lot through my Secondary 1 life.

Thank you so much, Teacher Darrin!

Thank you for giving me a wonderful and enriching learning experience. Your patience and care have helped me improve in my weakest subject, Math. In the first semester, despite my forgetfulness and carelessness, you continued to guide me with patience. Now that I am able to take A Math, I feel relieved with a sense of achievement. Mission Accomplished.

  • Rachel Wong

It is with great pleasure that I am writing this thank you letter.

Rachel has attained an ‘A’ in English in the recent PSLE.

We were both very happy when we saw the ‘A’☺

I really would like to thank you for helping her in preparing for the exams.

Your patience and concern to share her progress with me have enabled me to guide her when she was at home. During the one-and-a-half years that Rachel has been there, she has made great improvements in her composition skills and tackling the comprehension – open-ended questions. Your pointers and weekly readings exposed her to different genres and also helped her to be more reflective in what she reads. On many occasions, she is so curious about the whole story, she will try to get hold of the book to read it. I would love to see her reading soar to newer heights. I am sure with your recommendations and guide she will.

I would also like to extend my thanks to Anosia, who took her last year, Mr Alvin Soon and Mr Darrin Tan for always motivating her and giving her words of encouragement. You have all taken time though you are all busy and sometimes hungry, to talk to me and share about Rachel though you all do not teach her. I thank you all for taking that precious time to show you care. Rachel enjoys going there for tuition and I am glad that she will be continuing at KTLC next year. I would highly recommend friends there.

Thank you once again Charissa. Please do convey my thanks to all in the team.

    With great appreciation and thanks.

  • Mary Joyclyn De Borja

It was through a family friend that my parents got to know of Knowledge Trail Learning Centre. I started Math lessons with Mr. Darrin Tan when I was in Secondary One. It was the right choice and I am so thankful as it made my transition from Primary Mathematics to Secondary Math a lot simpler and easier to grasp. I am able to maintain my distinction even after I have begun taking A-Math this year in Sec 3.

In Sec 2, after having experienced such success with Math, we decided to give English lessons a try as I had difficulties in comprehension and summary writing. Well, I really saw the improvement in English results in just ten lessons right before the year-end examinations. For the very first time in Secondary school, I achieved an A2 in English. It used to be my weakest subject, but now it is my strongest subject. I even achieved an A2.

Lessons at KTLC have always been enjoyable, interesting, and enriching. Thank you, Knowledge Trail!

  • Claudia Koh

My daughter, Claudia has improved substantially in her three weakest subjects i.e. English, Maths, and Science since she started attending tuition at Knowledge Trail Learning Centre. The tutors have made her feel comfortable and she has built up her confidence in those subjects. She is now more motivated to work harder for next year i.e. Secondary 2.

We are grateful to the tutors for helping my daughter overcome the challenges she faced in her studies. They are also patient and caring to the needs of Claudia making sure she is able to handle the pressure from tests and examinations.

Thus, we would not hesitate to recommend any parents to send their children to them.

Thank you so much for the help, Knowledge Trail."

  • Tan Wee En

I have improved by a great margin of E8 in Sec 2 End-of-Year Exams to A2 in my O-Levels for Math due to no small part from Teacher Darrin. He is also very kind and funny toward us and his methods of teaching made Math fun for me. I am extremely grateful for the help I received and owe a large part of my improvement to Teacher Darrin.

  • Sung Kang Qi

We wanted a teacher that is familiar with the MOE curriculum and Mrs. Tan fits the requirement perfectly. Had 1-2 grades jumped within a few months as we only enrolled Kangqi end Dec 2019. Mrs. Tan helped a lot in Oral, Composition, and Situational Writing. Designed interesting lessons, 2 hours at KTLC were not boring. Mrs. Tan helped Kangqi to adapt quickly to her work. Periodically, Mrs. Tan will provide feedback by having small chats after classes, which is helpful so that we as parents know the progress. Kang Qi scored an A* in English for PSLE 2020!

  • Kiren Leahey

I would like to express my great appreciation to Mrs. Charissa Tan for her dedicated guidance to Kiren in his Sec 4 English language. After attending only 5 months of English tuition classes with Mrs. Charissa Tan, starting with home-based online learning and slowly moving into tuition centre classroom environment during Covid, I can definitely see the confidence in Kiren and his improvement in his English O level grade from a C5 to A2. Mrs. Tan is a kind, patient, experienced, and dedicated teacher and I would highly recommend the English program in Knowledge Trail Learning Centre.

  • Rachel Chew

My daughter, Rachel Chew, has been managing her Secondary 2 math on her own and was struggling since the beginning of this year, filing her first term exams. In April, she brought it to my attention that she is not able to understand the Math topics that have been taught in class. With the mid-terms approaching, I was trying to look around for a Math enrichment class to aid my daughter.

Through a recommendation, I contacted Teacher Darrin and was very pleased when he worked around his schedule to accommodate my daughter’s timing for the enrichment class. From this, I saw the dedication and the commitment which made this enrichment centre different from the rest.

Rachel attended 2 classes prior to her mid-term exam and she commented that the teaching (by Teacher Darrin) is very clear and she can understand the topics better. I could also see the confidence she now has with the subject as compared to her first couple of months in Secondary 2. Rachel was also very happy when she received her mid-term results where she passed her Math.

    Kudos to Teacher Darrin!

    Desmond
